Mošćenice, a medieval Istrian town, 14 kilometres from the famous summer resort of Opatija, above the small fishing village of Mošćenička Draga. It emerges on the eastern slopes of the Učka Mountain with a breath taking view over Kvarner and the islands of Krk and Cres. The sound of the sea and the smell of Mediterranean vegetation steal the hearts of all intentional and accidental visitors to the area.

Mošćenička Draga

A promenade towards the beach of Sv. Ivan is followed by the sound of the sea and the smell of Mediterranean vegetation. Draga’s old town with its narrowly placed houses and gorges descends steeply all the way to the sea. At its base is a small lovely harbour where fishing boats are located as well as smaller boats, and during the summer months it becomes a small marina for tourist boats.

The Opatija Riviera is about forty kilometres long and offers everything you need for an unforgettable holiday at sea. The most famous Kvarner promenade, Lungomare, connects the picturesque town of Volosko with Opatija, Ičići, Ika and Lovran. Discover the charms of magnificent old villas and see the spectacular examples of top 19th century architecture as you stroll along the sea front.
